Sweet Potato Honeybun Cake
For the Brown Sugar Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3-4 tablespoons milk (adjust for desired consistency)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Prepare the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, mashed sweet potatoes, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Add the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish, then evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
Pour the remaining cake batter on top, spreading it to fully cover the cinnamon layer.
