Making your steel and aluminum pans shine like new is easier than you think! With just a few natural, affordable ingredients and minimal effort, you can restore the gleam to your cookware without harsh chemicals. Here’s the trick:
The Shine-Boosting Trick for Steel and Aluminum Pans
What You’ll Need:

White Vinegar: A natural degreaser and stain remover.
Baking Soda: A gentle abrasive to scrub away stubborn stains.
Lemon Juice: Adds extra shine and fights discoloration.
Dish Soap: Cuts through grease.
Fine Steel Wool or a Soft Scrubber: For scrubbing without damaging the surface.

How to Do It:
Step 1: Degrease with Vinegar

Pour white vinegar into the pan, just enough to cover the base.
Heat the pan slightly (on low) for about 1–2 minutes.
Use a soft sponge to wipe away grease and food residue.
Rinse the pan with warm water.

Step 2: Sprinkle Baking Soda

While the pan is damp, sprinkle baking soda generously over the surface.
Let it sit for 5 minutes—baking soda will help loosen tough stains.

Step 3: Add Lemon Juice

Squeeze fresh lemon juice onto the baking soda. It will fizz, creating a natural cleaning reaction.
Gently scrub the pan with a soft scrubber or fine steel wool to remove discoloration, burnt spots, or residue.

Step 4: Wash with Dish Soap

Add a drop of dish soap and scrub the pan again, focusing on stubborn areas.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove all cleaning residue.

Step 5: Polish the Surface

For an extra shine, rub the surface with a clean cloth dipped in a few drops of olive oil after drying.
