Cooking with the Air Fryer:

1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to 160°F (71°C). If your air fryer doesn’t have a low setting, you can set it to the lowest temperature available and monitor the process closely.

2. Arrange the Beef: Lay the marinated beef strips in a single layer inside the air fryer basket or tray. Avoid overcrowding to ensure proper air circulation, which is essential for even cooking.

3. Air Fry the Jerky: Cook for 3-4 hours, flipping the jerky halfway through the cooking time. The jerky is done when it is dry to the touch but still slightly flexible. It should bend without breaking and have a chewy texture.

4. Check the Texture: If the jerky isn’t as dry or crispy as you’d like, return it to the air fryer for additional time, checking every 30 minutes until you reach the desired consistency.

Cooling and Storing:

Once the jerky is done, remove it from the air fryer and let it cool on a rack. Store your homemade jerky in an airtight container or zip-top bags. It can last for up to 1-2 weeks at room temperature, or longer if kept refrigerated.

Methods:

• Marinating: Marinating the beef is essential for flavor infusion. You can use a variety of spices, liquids, and sweeteners, depending on your taste preferences.

• Air Frying: The air fryer is an efficient and quick way to dry out the beef while maintaining a chewy, delicious texture. Adjust the cooking time and temperature depending on the thickness of your beef and desired texture.

• Storage: Proper storage is important to keep your jerky fresh. Airtight containers, glass jars, or vacuum-sealed bags work best to preserve its flavor and texture.
