Classic meatloaf may have been the top in ideas of comfort food, but our French onion variant takes it to a whole different extreme. This French Onion Meatloaf is packed with caramelized onions and flavorful spices, and it is topped with melted cheese for a final piece that will be welcomed by the whole family.
This meatloaf is dangerously delicious, and I can’t believe I’ve liked another recipe more. I needed time to believe that the flavor would be any better, and that this meatloaf is the best in the world. Not only was the dinner delicious, but I also kept the leftovers in the fridge and used them for the following day’s sandwiches, and they were incredible! This meatloaf is moist and full of strong flavors
Although meatloaf is and always has been a regular dish in our home, it is also regarded as a luxury and highly respected food. But most of the time, I simply make the famous meatloaf of my mommy!!! This loaf is simple, noise-free, and stripped down, yet it is the greatest I’ve ever eaten. Asking me to provide a recipe is difficult; the list of ingredients is quite short, and putting it together is very straightforward, but anytime I’m asked to make a recipe, it’s necessary to make it plain that there isn’t a recipe.
The Meatloaf ingredients:
– Two lbs.Of lean ground beef.
– 2 large beaten eggs.
– ½ Cup.Of rusk.
– 2 Tbspoons.Of fresh chopped parsley.
– Grated mozzarella cheese, I used an 8-ounces Package.
– 1 small spoon.Of salt.
– 1 small spoon.Of ground pepper.
To make the caramelized onions, you’ll need:
– 3 medium onions, sliced into thin slices.
– 1/4 Cup.Of beef broth.
– 1 small spoon.Of Olive Oil.
– 1 small spoon.Of fresh thyme.
– 1 small spoon.Of salt.
– 1 small spoon.Of pepper.
And for The sauce, I only used these 3 ingredients:
– 2 Cups.Of beef broth.
– 3 Tbspoons.Of cornstarch.
– To season, we only used salt and pepper.
