- Ammonia Diluted in Water:
- Mix a tablespoon of ammonia with 250 ml of water.
- Apply the solution on the stain and leave it to act for 30 minutes before washing.
- Talc:
- Sprinkle talc on the stain to absorb grease and oil.
- Leave it to act for about 2 hours before washing the garment.
- You can also prepare a homemade version by mixing 30 g of corn starch and 15 g of baking soda.
- Removing Dry Stains:
- Use a brush to remove the embedded parts of the stain.
- Then, you can try the following remedies:
- Marseille Soap: Rub plenty of Marseille soap on the stain before washing it normally in the washing machine.
- Baking Soda and Salt: Prepare a thick cream with baking soda, salt and a little water. Apply to the stain to reduce the halo and remove dirt.
- Hydrogen Peroxide: Apply 12 volume hydrogen peroxide on the stain to whiten it. This is recommended only for non-delicate and light-colored garments.
