Plum cake with batter

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven: 160 degrees). Grease the bottom of a springform pan (Ø 26 cm). Wash the plums, pat dry and remove the stone. Halve the fruit.

2nd step
Beat the butter with sugar and salt until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir into the dough alternately with the milk.

3rd step
Pour the dough into the prepared pan and spread it out. Cover with the fruit in a circle and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 40-45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and serve. The cake will keep for at least 2 days at room temperature if wrapped airtight.

Our tip
Additional crumble
You can also prepare your plum cake with crumble. To do this, knead 60 g butter with 60 g sugar, 1 pinch of salt and 100 g flour with your hands to form a coarse crumble dough and add the crumble to the cake before baking.
