Ingredients:
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
For the Renowned MOMA Filling:
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 package (3.5 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
1/3 cup milk
Yields: Approximately 16 cream puffs
Instructions:
In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and vanilla extract to a boil.
Once boiling, add the flour and stir continuously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the pan’s edges.
Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Gradually beat in the eggs until smooth.
Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
Cover the baking sheet with foil, tenting it slightly.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the cream puffs to cool completely.
Split each cream puff in half and fill with the MOMA filling.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
For the MOMA Filling:
Using an electric mixer, whip the heavy cream, milk, and instant vanilla pudding mix until light and fluffy.
