Ham and Cheese Sandwich Bread Rolls

3. Roll each filled slice of bread tightly to form compact rolls. Press lightly to seal the edges well so that the cheese stays inside during cooking.
4. In a bowl, beat the egg with the milk.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll into the beaten egg mixture, making sure to coat all sides.
6. Place rolls in the hot skillet and brown on all sides for about 5 minutes until golden brown and perfectly crispy.
7. Remove rolls from skillet and place on paper towels to drain off excess fat. Serve immediately to enjoy the melted cheese inside.
