Insert the garlic pieces into the incisions made on the top of the Camembert.
Also add the rosemary (or thyme) leaves, pushing them lightly into the cheese.
If you choose to add walnuts, roughly crush them and sprinkle them on top.
Mix the seasoning:
Drizzle with a little olive oil and a little honey to add a touch of sweetness. This is also the time to add a little black pepper to taste.
Cooking:
Bake the Camembert in the preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until it becomes very soft and begins to flow.
Preparing the bread: While the cheese is cooking, cut the bread into slices and lightly toast it in the oven or on the grill.
Serving:
Once cooked, remove the Camembert from the oven (carefully, it will be very hot!).
Serve immediately with the bread slices for dipping, and accompany with dried fruits if desired.
Variations
Adding fruits: You can try adding apple or pear slices on top before cooking for a sweet and sour mix.
Spices: For an even more gourmet touch, add a small pinch of Espelette pepper or paprika on the Camembert before putting it in the oven.
Tips
For an elegant presentation, you can present the Camembert with fresh herbs on the platter.
Make sure to use a good quality Camembert for a better taste.
Final note
The gourmet baked Camembert is perfect for an evening with friends, as an aperitif or starter. Enjoy its melting texture and rich flavors for a convivial moment. Bon appétit!
