Decadent Chocolate Pound Cake Recipe
This rich and moist chocolate pound cake is perfect for chocolate lovers and is made gluten-free! It’s great on its own or served with whipped cream, fresh berries, or a drizzle of chocolate ganache.
Ingredients
For the Pound Cake:
2 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup (105 g) all-purpose gluten-free flour (such as Better Batter)
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (omit if your flour blend already contains it)
1/4 cup (36 g) cornstarch (or substitute with arrowroot or potato starch)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup (60 g) Dutch-processed cocoa powder (if using natural cocoa powder, add 1/8 teaspoon baking soda)
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
