Crispy French Fries with Dipping Sauces
Toss the potatoes lightly with cornstarch for extra crunch.
Heat the Oil
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 325°F (165°C).
First Frying
Fry the potato sticks in batches for about 3-5 minutes, until soft but not browned. Remove and let them cool.
Second Frying
Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C). Fry the potatoes again until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt while they’re hot.
Serve with Dipping Sauces
Pair your fries with ketchup , mustard
, mayo
, or any sauce you like!
