- 8 ounces (225g) of
- pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
- 1 bunch of fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 6 slices of
- bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (50g) of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
- Begin by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some of the pasta water.
2. Cook the Bacon and Asparagus:
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the pan.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant. Then, add the asparagus pieces and cook for about 5 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
