Put more plants
Plants bring color and freshness to our homes. Some of them can even make the air in the houses cooler: this is the case of areca, dragon tree and spider plant.
Remember to water the plants properly, this is crucial so that they can help make the house cooler.
Use fans
They consume much less than air conditioners and, if used correctly, can have almost the same effect.
Fill a bucket with ice and place it in front of the fan: the result is similar to that of an air conditioner.
Use heat exchangers
Heat exchangers are not only used to prevent steam, smoke or bad smells in the kitchen, but are ideal for eliminating heat.
It is important to turn on the heat exchanger, especially when cooking. Remember to clean the heat exchangers regularly to prevent grease from clogging the filters or damaging the motor.
Avoid using the oven
In line with the previous tip, we recommend not using the oven excessively.
The reason is obvious: the oven generates a lot of heat in the kitchen, which makes it more difficult to keep the interior cool.
Let air in at night
The last trick to keep the house cool is to ventilate it even at night. At night the temperatures are lower and we can take advantage of them to cool the house.
