8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
8 oz Cool Whip (or homemade whipped cream)
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Additional:
4-8 oz Cool Whip for icing
Extra mini chocolate chips
Chocolate sauce (optional)
Directions:
Bake the Cake:
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking soda.
Mix in egg, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla.
Add boiling water, beat until smooth.
Divide batter between two 8-inch pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool and level the cakes if needed.
Make Cookie Dough:
Cream butter and brown sugar, add vanilla.
Mix in flour and milk. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
Form into small balls and refrigerate.
