Steps of the recipe:
Prepare the ingredients: Gather all the necessary ingredients .
Prepare the mold: Use a 23 cm by 23 cm square springform pan. Cover the base with baking paper and grease and flour the pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C top and bottom heat .
Prepare the dough: In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the melted butter and mix well. Add the milk at room temperature .
Add dry ingredients: Sift the flour with the baking powder and mix them with the previous mixture. Add the chopped walnuts and floured raisins. Mix well. Wash and dry the apples, and cut them into not very thick slices .
Bake: Pour the dough into the mold and spread well. Place the apple slices on top of the dough. Bake for 40 minutes. Check with a skewer that it comes out dry .
Cool: Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes before unmolding. Remove the ring from the pan, but leave the base until the cake cools .
Prepare the caramel fudge: In a saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat until it becomes golden caramel. Add the butter and mix well. Add the cream little by little, mixing until you get a creamy caramel .
Assemble the cake: Let the caramel cool a little and place it in a piping bag. Unmold the cake and place it on a rack. Decorate with lines of caramel all over the surface .
Serve: Place the cake on a serving plate and cut a slice .
