4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped 🍫
1 tbsp unsalted butter 🧈
1/2 cup heavy cream 🥛

1/4 tsp cream of tartar (optional) 🥄

1️⃣ Prepare the Chocolate Base:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter and flour two ramekins (6 oz capacity) or 4 smaller ones.
In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together. You can do this by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or microwaving in short intervals, stirring in between.
Once melted, stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy. Set aside to cool slightly.
