To make the soup broth:
1 and a half pounds of chicken breasts or thighs without bones or skin.
1 onion of medium size, chopped
2 carrots, not too big, peeled and cut into pieces.
2 pieces of celery, cut into small pieces
3 pieces of garlic, finely chopped
4 cups of chicken broth
1 cup of thick cream
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
1 teaspoon of dried parsley
1 leaf from the bay tree
1 small spoon of salt

Regarding the dumplings:
1 and a half cups of all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 small spoon of salt
2 tablespoons of butter, cut into small pieces and kept cold.
